Mobile phone has become an essential part of our life in today’s age. We can easily do every small and big task at home on our mobile phones. Whether you want to buy something sitting at home or send any money to someone dear to you. All can do easily on mobile phone. Not only this, we can learn our education or any skills and earn online with the help of this mobile phone. With the help of this mobile phone, we can easily talk to our dear relatives sitting in other countries. Due to all the conveniences that mobile phones provide us, mobile phones have become essential in our lives.

The excessive consumption of anything can be harmful for us. This mobile is having negative effects on our health, our relationships, our social relationships. Due to the excessive use of this mobile phone, our young generation is learning the negative effects on the future of all our children. Their mental health is affected.

In today’s era, we are wasting more than half of our life watching nonsense on mobile phones. Spending too much time on mobile phones can lead to many physical problems such as eye strain, lack of sleep and stress. With the excessive use of this mobile phone, people are getting away from their real life. He started neglecting his relationship. The importance of mobile phone has its place. It is no wonder that this mobile phone has provided us with so many conveniences. But its unnecessary use is giving rise to many problems. We can avoid these harms only by balanced use of mobile phone.

What is Nomophobia?

Nomophobia is a phobia that causes you to experience all other mental problems and diseases. This phobia has many of the symptoms of all anxiety disorders. Thus, nomophobia is the root of all problems.

Nomophobia means the anxiety or fear of being without a mobile phone.

Nomophobia is like a major drug addiction for our young generation. It is a modern fear of living without a mobile phone. This term has come up a few days ago as a result of our increasing use and dependence with mobile phones and the internet. The more time we spend on our mobile phones, the more fear we feel. Not every mobile phone user suffers from nomophobia. Yes, but people who use mobile phones unnecessarily are the ones who suffer from nomophobia. They feel stressed or nervous about being without a phone. The effects of which are revealed in the form of results in their unhealthy behaviors.

Nomophobia’s reasons:

Dependence on technology:

In this modern age, mobile phone has become our most important need. We depend on mobile phones for every small and big task of our life. It keeps us in touch with our loved ones. Due to this, we can easily do all our work sitting at home and we can have fun at home on the same mobile phone. This dependence on him creates ease for us, but at the same time it also causes many problems.

Social Relationships:

Mobile phones are used day and night by people to stay in touch with their friends and family. Sometimes people feel the fear of missing something very strongly. That is, if they don’t have their mobile phone with them even for a short time, then they are afraid that they might miss someone’s important talk or an event. Nowadays, the invitation for all the events is also given through a message or a call on the mobile phone. While the right way is to go to the house of your dear friends and invite them to meet them, or spend time with them, which strengthens your mutual relationship.

Escape from reality:

Some people use mobile phone as a way to escape from real life. Sometimes there are issues and situations in their life, which they have to face bravely, or make a serious decision about them. Should do. But they use mobile phones as an escape from the reality of their lives. This addiction to mobile phone is like a drug for them. Which keeps them away from problems or stress, due to which people use mobile phones more. Because they develop a strong dependence with the mobile phone.

The habit of instant gratification:

Being on all social media apps on mobile phones, we get instant notifications, information and feedback. Due to which we are constantly connected with mobile phones. On the other hand, the general public likes other popular social media bloggers, movie star and drama star, and stays connected to them on their social media accounts at all times and everywhere. With such blogger movies and drama stars that these common people don’t even know. These common people apart from their parents and siblings are connected to them on their mobile phones for every update of their social accounts. This instant gratification becomes an addiction for them which makes it difficult for them to live without their phone.

Symptoms of a Nomophobia:

Due to excessive use of mobile phones, you suffer from nomophobia, its symptoms are listed below.

Anxiety:

feeling fear, nervousness, anxiety when away from the mobile phone, or feeling anxious about not being able to check notifications, messages, etc.

Frequent checking:

Some people keep checking their mobile phone repeatedly without any reason. Even though they are at home or at work in offices, schools or colleges, they keep checking their mobile phones again and again and wasting their valuable time. These are all symptoms of nomophobia.

Distance from real relationships:

Some people spend time on mobile phones all the time for no reason. They do not give time to their relatives, friends and loved ones. Do not spend time with family. Prefer mobile phone interaction to their real world. Which later results in distance with your own family and creates an atmosphere of social isolation.

Decreased productivity:

Sufferers of Nemophobia waste valuable time of their work and studies on mobile phones. Because frequent messages, notifications on mobile phones keep distracting them from focusing on their work and education, and affect productivity.

Physical health problems:

Your physical health is also affected due to unnecessary use of mobile phones. Your eyes are affected by excessive use of mobile phones. But at the same time, your sleep is disturbed. You spend your sleep time using your mobile phone. Due to which you cannot get your full sleep, and you may face many problems.

Social Effects:

Due to the excessive use of this mobile phone, we have distanced ourselves from our real relationships. Everyone is busy with their mobile phone even if they are in a house. Instead of sitting together and talking in our free time, we spend our time on social media apps in our mobile phones, which weakens our relationships and only limits us to work.
